Netflix has just released the official trailer for La Viuda Negra, the upcoming thriller set to premiere on May 30, 2025.

Directed by Carlos Sedes (Fariña, Now and Then) and produced by Bambú Producciones, the film is inspired by the notorious real-life case of the “Black Widow of Patraix,” which captured national attention in Spain in 2017.
Ivana Baquero stars in the movie as María Jesús Moreno Cantó, known as "Maje," who seems just an ordinary nurse whose life unravels after the murder of her husband, Antonio Navarro. What initially appears to be a crime of passion soon spirals into a dark web of lies, affairs, and manipulation. The cast also features Carmen Machi as Inspector Eva, and Tristán Ulloa.
“Ivana brings an unsettling charisma to Maje,” said director Carlos Sedes (Fariña, Now and Then). “She’s not just playing a character—she’s embodying the contradictions that made this real case so disturbing.”
