Last year, Ivana Baquero reunited with Bambú Producciones, the creators and producers behind one of her most significant recent projects, Alta Mar.

Now, she's starring in La Viuda Negra, a thrilling film based on the shocking real-life case of the “Black Widow of Patraix” from 2017. Directed by Carlos Sedes and produced by Bambú Producciones, the movie features Baquero as María Jesús Moreno Cantó — better known as Maje —, Tristán Ulloa as Salva, and the cast also includes the acclaimed Carmen Machi.
La Viuda Negra is set to premiere on Netflix on May 30, as revealed in the latest trailer.
August 2017. The body of a man appears in a parking lot in Valencia, stabbed seven times. Everything points to a crime of passion. The city's Homicide Squad, headed by a veteran inspector, launches a race-back investigation that soon leads them to a suspect that no one expected: Maje, the young, sweet and serene widow who had been married to the victim for less than a year.

Netflix has also released new stills from the film, offering a closer look at the characters and the intense atmosphere of La Viuda Negra.
